DEATH YELL (CHILE)

DEATH YELL was formed in  1986; when Andres Herrera and Andres Lozano - a pair of schoolmates - decide to take the guitars and to begin to touch covers of groups like Metallica and Exodus, under the name of PESTILENCE. In the middle of '88 the line up was complete and the name was changed to DEATH YELL. Between 89 and '90 the group created a very good friendship with other bands, arming next to Atomic Aggressor, Sadism and Darkness among others, the bases of the mythical scene underground of Death Metal of Chile. First (and unique) official demo of the band is the fusion of two sessions. The first session was recorded in the week ends of August of 1988, including: Obsessed by the Vision, Confessions to after Death, Pain and Fear Days and the left-hand side intro that gave title demo, Vengeance from Darkness. The second group was recorded in October of the same year: Heavenly Injustice and Victim or Hangman. The Demo reflected to the band what was, crude and so brutal; with DEATH YELL it was impossible to have an intermediate position, you loved them or hated them. The cover of the demo was controversial at that time, an angel impaled in an inverted cross. In short, the demo was sent in December of 1989 and was very well received by the underground.
